Sandy’s Pool Service was founded by Sandy Karshner in the mid-1980s when she began caring for the pool needs of a friend. Through word of mouth, Sandy’s business began to grow one pool at a time. Soon she found herself caring for several pools and needed help. Sandy’s nephews, Bill and Matt, were two of her first employees. With dedication to customer service, the business continued to grow as one of the premier pool service companies in the Greater Columbus area. In the fall of 2000, Sandy was ready to retire and the business was passed along to Bill and Matt Low.
Sandy’s Pool Service, LLC, (also affectionately known as “SPS”) was born in early 2001. Bill and Matt, along with their wives, brought a combined fifteen years of pool care experience with them when “SPS” was formed. Bill and Matt continue to drive the business while keeping customer service and satisfaction the number one priority.
Sandy’s Pool Service, LLC, is a long-time member of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (formally the National Spa and Pool Institute).

Bill Low was raised just outside of Sunbury, Ohio, with five brothers. Bill is a graduate of Heidelberg College. Currently, he teaches Health and Physical Education at Bellefontaine City Schools. He has been employed there since 1994. Bill married Katrina in 2016. You may see Katrina around as she helps with service in the spring and fall.

Matt Low is the youngest of the six Low boys. Matt’s first job during the summer of 1996 was with Sandy’s Pool Service. He continued to work for his Aunt Sandy until he assumed ownership duties in 2001. Matt married Kristy in 1999 and has two sons, Jack and Jeremiah.

Ryan Weimer has been with Sandy’s Pool Service, LLC, since the summer of 2004. Ryan brings years of management and mechanical experience to the company. Ryan began servicing pools for family friends in high school and attended Columbus State Community College, majoring in Auto Technology. Ryan married Brooke (worked for SPS for 10 years) in 2012 and has three children, two of which occasionally work for SPS. Ryan currently oversees all field operations and several other field-related projects.

Josh Low has been with Sandy’s Pool Service, LLC, since the summer of 2012. Josh is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and grew up in the Cleveland area. Josh worked in the summers while going to school and then his uncles offered him the position upon graduation in 2017. Josh married Maddy in 2016

Dante has been with Sandy’s Pool Service, LLC, since the summer of 2018. Dante grew up in Columbus and has proven himself in the field, earning a promotion at the start of 2021.
